We will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday 07/03/2012) We are redoing the floor. Sorry for the inconvenience and the short notice. Everyone should love the new floor tho. We will post picks of the new look asap!

WPSP’s 1st Annual Scooter Comp!

Registration:  (Don’t forget to indicate your t-shirt size (S, M, L) when you register)

  • Day-of registration = $18
  • RSVP on WPSP FB page before Thursday, the 16th and registration = $15
  • Registration before the competition can also be done via http://www.thewpsp.com/registration/
  • If you have not skated at WPSP before, you must bring a signed waiver and code of conduct (i.e. the participant packet online) or be able to fill one out the day of, so have a parent or legal guardian with you

Itinerary:

  • 10:00 am –> competition registration opens (ALL registration includes a competition t-shirt)
  • 11:00 am –> practice session begins
  • 12:30 pm (or 1:00, depends on how many people are there) –> beginner division
  • 1:30 pm –> amateur division
  • 2:30 pm –> advanced division
  • 3:45 pm –> scores and $200 in prizes
  • If there is time in between divisions, we will open the floor for practice

We want to give back to our community by throwing an awesome event and lowering our prices for the day to $1 per hour.

From: 11:30 am to 3:30pm open all ages skate sessions.

From: 3:30 to 7:30 Flat ground game of skate BERRICS RULES.

$3 to sign up 16 spots per division.

 

14 and under starting at 3:30

14 to 17 18 and older 30+ If there is enough entries.

 

7:30 to 8:30 Best trick contest on the high ledge 10 attempts per participant. Free

8:30 to 9:15 Awards Ceremony ending with a live performance.

9:15 to 9:45 Live painting.

10:00pm to 12:00am Open session.

Skateboard classes 4 all ages!

Starting next week 06/11/12
Skateboarding classes will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays only! from 01:30 pm to 3:30pm for women and children not yet in school, and from 03:30 to 05:30 pm for male beginners of any age.

The 1:30 pm to 3:30 slot is a session/class for women of all ages and small children not yet in school accompanied by a parent.
Must have your own equipment! Helmets are required for underage kids, and beginners of any age. Pads are highly encouraged.
Small children pay $3.00 for this session.
Women skate for free!
You can get here at any time during this time slot but you must leave by 3:30 pm

The 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm time slot is a session for Beginners of any age.
Must have your own equipment! Helmets are required. Pads highly encouraged.
Non Registered drop in participants pay $7 for this session/class.
It is a free class/session for Registered (Monthly Payment) Participants.

Both time slots consist of forty five minutes of Instruction and an hour of open session to practice the skills you have learned and get to know each other.
Skills covered
1-Stance (Are you Goofy or Regular?)
2-Pushing (Basic principles, feet position)
3-Manuals (Where is your center of balance?)
4-Park etiquette ( Lingo and what not to do at the park)

The rest of the sessions for Monday and Wednesday are for skateboarders only!
The 05:30 pm to 07:30 pm Slot is for 14 and over only.
Helmets are required
The 07:30pm to 9:30pm is for 18 and over only.

Nothings is set in stone we will remain dynamic and open to change indefinitely.

Mistakes and misunderstanding will arise please be patient and understand that this is for all of us, by all of us.
This is YOUR! park your input and participation make it what it is, so make your input and participation a Positive one! Nothing but LOVE around here so far! We plan to keep it that way.

Sessions begin

2 hour sessions for $3 starting today 06/03/12 10am to 10pm.

Bring the code of conduct agreement to your first session, along with the waiver and parent contact form if you are under 18.  These can all be found on the registration page.
